What are the three types of web design?

A common way to describe “types” of web design is: static sites (content changes manually), dynamic sites (content is generated from a CMS or database), and responsive design (layout adapts to screen size). Responsive is now the baseline, not a category you can skip. In real projects, the more useful classification is: marketing site, ecommerce site, or web application. Each has different requirements for speed, content management, and conversion.
