What falls under web design?

Web design includes UX (structure and usability), UI (visual layout and components), content layout (hierarchy, readability), responsive design, accessibility, and often conversion strategy (proof + CTAs). In many modern projects, web design also touches performance: how media loads, how layouts stay stable, and how interactions feel. Web development is the implementation side, but good design decisions make development faster and the final site more effective.
